resources
To support schools in their delivery of Relationships and Moral Education a number of resources are provided which can be used to supplement existing resources or as background reading to put 'Called to Love' into a proper context. These can be accessed by clicking on the links in red.
Resources specific to 'Called to Love' are provided, including the Guidelines for teaching Relationships and Moral Education to Catholic Children in Scotland, produced by the Catholic Education Commission (CEC), and on which the content of the project is based.
Other documents which are relevant to 'Called to Love' and help to further contextualise the outcomes include the report on the provision of Sex Education in Scottish schools called the McCabe Report(2000), after the Chair of the working group, and'Respect & Responsibility'(2005)the Scottish Executive's Strategy and Action Plan for Improving Sexual Health.
To support teachers in their delivery of RME the resources section also includes a considerable number of FAQs or Frequently Asked Questions and related answers to these questions from the perspective of Catholic Moral Theology, and this may prove an invaluable tool in helping the teacher to deal more confidently with some of the issues which may arise as a result of discussions in class, or simply to increase the teacher's knowledge base and understanding of Catholic Morality.
A number of suggested web links are offered as a further tool which the teacher may use in class or for their own professional development and research. These links will allow the teacher to access more detailed background information that can be used to supplement other materials and resources used within the class.
Finally, the resources section also includes links to other commercially available materials from a range of sources that can also be used to supplement existing resources in the delivery of Relationships and Moral Education.
