Logo Scottish Marriage Care Scottish Marriage Care (SMC), a registered charity, is a voluntary organisation with forty years of experience in the specialist field of relationship counselling, delivered in local centres across Scotland.

Originally known as the Scottish Catholic Marriage Advisory Service, the name was changed a number of years ago since it was considered that Scottish Marriage Care was a more appropriate tiltle, given the nature and client client group that SMC regularly works with; only approxiamtely 26% of those attending counselling profess to be Roman Catholic, and approximately 80% are married.

SMC relationship counselling services are for thise who are married, living together, living apart, divorced or separated. Counselling services are offered without judgement or discrimination on any grounds, whether race, sexual orientation, religion, personal beliefs or social background.

Scottish Marriage Care have been invited to contribute to the 'Called to Love' project by bringing some of the depth of their experience and sharing it with teachers and others involved in the delivery of the project through CPD training. On the invitation from individual schools, SMC will continue to visit and work with schools as part of their ongoing provision of Relationships and Moral Education.
